Lamb & Honey Meatballs

These meatballs, made with lamb mince, are infused with fresh thyme leaves and drizzled in honey.

Total Time: Around 15 minutes

Serves: 4


  • 500g lamb mince
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1  brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 lemon, rind and juice


  • In a large bowl combine onion, garlic, mince, breadcrumbs, egg, thyme, lemon rind (not juice) and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly and roll into rissoles.
  • Heat frypan and cook rissoles for 10-12 mins turning occasionally. Serve immediately. While warm, pour over lemon juice and drizzle with honey.
